About the Exhibition Call for Artists:

“Sublime Marvel – Splendor, Enterprise, & Awe” is a juried fiber arts exhibition that supports the enrapturing beauty and inspiring awe of inclusive, fostering fiber mediums that motivate earth-moving collaboration, and build super friendships to create opportunities to learn, exhibit, and potentially build small businesses. Admiration of toil and talent cultivates the evolution of excellence within one’s personal journey, learning and expressing themselves uniquely while being supportive of the efforts of fellow artists. Striving for wonder and encouragement, we celebrate fiber artists who boldly share their art with courage and fortitude, open to both copying and constructive criticism. Their hero’s arc includes the strength of inquisitiveness, leading to the surprising beauty of growing imagination and the capability to compose original creations using fused fibers, artistic adventures, and superpowers for good. Seasoned or newer creations are welcome. Open to all fiber arts media.

All formats of fiber art will be considered, including wall-hung, free-standing or pedestal mounted. Entries must be original and must not be copied, derivatives or based on other copyrighted or published work. All skill levels are welcome.

About the North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival:

The North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival celebrates its 19th year which is always centers around the first weekend in October in Sequim and various events and locations throughout autumn. Join us for this interactive fiber arts event connecting to the community with activities like a museum exhibition and educational demonstrations of fiber processes. Throughout the North Olympic Peninsula during the autumn months of September, October, and November, be inspired by numerous events that include workshops, hands-on projects for children and adults, Fiber Arts Market of local artists’ work and fiber supplies, and information about local fiber activities, groups, businesses, and instructional resources. Excellent volunteers make this community event possible including several local fiber arts groups, artists, fiber friendly businesses, and educational organizations. We are grateful for their fostering natures and fiber arts talents.

The North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival is an opportunity to experience positive inclusion, creative expression, and the economic enterprise of art. Always encouraging genuine growth and artistic integrity, most activities are free to the public and all forms of fiber art are welcome.

North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival Event Dates:

The “Sublime Marvel – Splendor, Enterprise, & Awe” exhibition is a component of the 19th Annual North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival starting October 4 to November 30, 2024 at the Sequim Museum & Arts location at 544 N Sequim Ave, Sequim WA 98382 open Wednesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

The festival start includes the First Friday Art Walk Sequim Reception on October 4 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with fiber arts demonstrations and on Saturday, October 5 with an exhibition opening reception 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Then there is a First Friday Art Walk Sequim Reception with fiber arts demonstrations on November 1 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM and closing celebration on Saturday, November 30 to engage and support local fiber artists. Many autumn fiber arts events and exhibitions happen throughout the months of September, October, and November on the Olympic Peninsula with the North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival Partners.
