The North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival includes a Port Angeles Fiber Arts Exhibition in September at Studio Bob’s at 118 ½ E Front St. on Saturday, September 14, 5 – 8 PM, Sunday, Sept 15, 12 – 3 PM, and Sept 21, 12 – 4 PM for Arts and Draughts Festival. This exhibition is filled with local fiber artists sponsored by Cabled Fiber & Yarn and the festival. Artists will be on hand to discuss their work and share their creative process.
The “Irresistible Aesthetics – Beauty, Absorption, & Ideology” exhibition is a component of the 14th Annual North Olympic Fiber Arts Festival Oct 4 – 6, 2019 at the new Sequim Museum & Arts location at 544 N Sequim Ave, Sequim WA 98382. Filmmaker Andrea Love will share her films and behind the scenes stories, puppets, props, and fiber fun for the audience. Films include Tribeca Film Festival Official Selection “Fear” and real stories told by real puppets like “Revolution”, “Boulton Farm”, Finnriver Cider’s “Handcrafted Love”, “Bazaar Girls”, and many more. Andrea graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Hampshire College in 2010, concentrating in film studies and sustainable agriculture. For the past five years, she has been living in Port Townsend, Washington, working on organic farms and teaching herself the tedious and addicting craft of traditional animation.
