Fiber Arts Workshop

Lace Knitting 101 with Susan Kroll (SNS)

Friday, October 3rd,
10:00 - 12:00 and 1:30 - 3:30
Sue Nylander Studio (SNS)

A fabric of knitted lace looks much more complicated than what it actually is: purposefully placed holes creating a pretty pattern. Each participant will make samples for a reference notebook as we explore different lace techniques, tips, and tricks. We will also decipher lace patterns and charts: how to read them and write them. Basic knitting skills are required. Handout provided by Instructor.

SUPPLIES TO BRING TO CLASS: knitting needles in a small size ( maybe 2’s ,3’s, or 4’s) that you are comfortable knitting with and yarn of a size to match the needles. The yarn should be a solid color, preferably a lighter color (it's easier to see), and with a smooth surface, NOT textured.
CLASS FEE: $50.00
MATERIALS FEE: None
