Dyeing for Socks with Amelia Garripoli (DS)

Want to personalize your sock knitting? Learn how to dye a variety of self-patterning sock yarns that will knit up into great looking socks with the most basic sock pattern!
This class will cover several techniques for dyeing sock yarn. Participants will be supplied with enough yarn for a pair of socks, dyes, and tools to dye with, and can purchase additional dyeable yarn and dyes during class. References for basic sock knitting patterns will also be supplied. We'll be dyeing wool blend yarns with wool dyes and white vinegar.

Great way to make a gift for your favorite sock knitter, or to knit a special pair of socks yourself!
Amelia will supply yarn and dyeing materials.

Amelia Garripoli

Amelia grew up knitting, baking, and trying almost every craft, but finally turned to spinning after publishing a few knitting patterns. She runs The Bellwether, an online fiber art supply store, and writes patterns, books, and blogs at www.askthebellwether.blogspot.com. Her class "Spindle Mania!" was a great hit at the NwRSA 2007 Conference, and her sock yarn dyeing class is always fun and creative.
